- Personnel hire – also called labour hire, staff hire, and personnel rent. An arrangement when personnel hire agency provides technical personnel to Client’s company without additional human resource management responsibilities to the Client. The agency is ultimately responsible for the employees. Workers can be provided for long and short term projects, seasonal work or temporary assignments. Typical contract length – 6-8 weeks.
- Recruitment – the process of finding and selecting the most qualified candidate for a job vacancy. Recruitment agencies simplify the search process by recruiting, pre-screening and enlisting skilled labour in their databases. When a request for a worker is received, databases are filtered to find the best qualified candidates and their CVs are sent to the Client. The number of CVs sent to the Client depends on agreement between the Client and recruitment agency.
- Subcontracting – an arrangement when a general contractor hires an outside company or employee to do all or part of the responsibilities of the contract. Recruitment and personnel hire agencies assist in locating companies or individuals who can carry out the responsibilities of various contracts.
- Payroll administration includes all employer’s responsibilities related to the financial records of employees' salaries, bonuses, net pay, deudctions, taxes, state insurance and social benefits. In case of personnel rental, the personnel hire company takes full responsibility for payroll administration.
- Technical personnel, also skilled labour –personnel with skills, training and experience in technical fields, such as electric installation, ventilation systems, painting, sandblasting, etc. Often times they have local or international certificates that prove their qualifications.
- Employment - providing a job in exchange of salary. Employers take full responsibility for payroll administration, health, safety and welfare of employees during the contract period.
- Recruitment agency or employment agency helps employers find qualified people to fill job openings and unemployeed people find jobs that match their skills. Recruitment agencies can also offer additional services such as personnel rental, candidate testing, subcontracting and others.
